Back in October 2010 Vango announced the launch of its new Airbeam tent range, claiming that it would revolutionise the camping scene. Unlike your standard shelters, these would be pole-less designs that use a series of inflatable beams to keep them erect, making camping a simpler and easier experience for all.
We've been sitting patiently for a few months waiting for a chance to try out this 'revolutionary' new tent, and today the time finally came. The Vango Airbeam tents will be available to buy from 24 May, but we've received our sample of the Vango Velocity 200 (SRP £235), a two-man blow-up tent that's intended for use on short camping trips with family or friends, but we're particularly interested in it as it could be ideal for adventure motorcycling and newbie campers.
